The Hoults Group takes positive steps to protect the environment and has created the ‘Hoults Group Green Policy’

The Hoults Group takes pride in its commitment to environmentally friendly procedures including; the proper management and monitoring of waste, the reduction of pollution and compliance with environmental legislation. We continually raise awareness amongst our employees to ensure they are familiar with ways in which they can help with environmental issues on an individual and team basis.

 A summary of the key points of our policy:

• The Hoults Group uses environmentally friendly methods for disposing of unwanted waste.
• We ensure that company vehicles output minimum carbon emissions and are designed to maximise fuel efficiency.
• We liaise with our suppliers and contractors to minimise the impact of their operations on the environment.
• We educate our employees about the benefits of recycling and provide recycling bins for paper, plastic and aluminium waste.
• The Hoults Group continually raises awareness internally of ‘environmental best practice’, providing information, help and advice on ways to help the environment.

As well as taking our Green Policy seriously, Hoults understands that, as a national company, we can make a valuable contribution to those in need in our local community.   It is with that aim in mind that Hoults has joined forces with the YMCA in a new initiative to encourage our customers to recycle unwanted goods at the time of their move. Hoults will provide collection bags at survey, and will collect and deliver unwanted items to the YMCA. The YMCA recycles these goods via its network of shops to raise money to help disadvantaged young people. To find out more about our work with the YMCA click here.
